Service assurance, in telecommunications, is the application of policies and processes by a Communications Service Provider (CSP) to ensure that services offered over networks meet a pre-defined service quality level for an optimal subscriber experience.

Consumer

The consumer module is the module which interfaces with a user in the role of an agent. This is the end result of the resources managed in the supplier and combined for service assurance processes in the manager module.

It is the engine which executes the services and presents the results to a service assurance consumer party which might be:

A helpdesk agent using the Service Highway Consumer with a web browser
A customer with self care using his/hers own mobile device
Another organization through the B2B interface, enabling reselling of service assurance
